building in the square, visible on the c. 1837 6" first edition map. By
the time the 25" map was surveyed circa 1890, the structure had
disappeared.
We'll
probably never know what it was. I haven't found any records mentioning
it. Possibly it was just a house that remained from a terrace of
buildings that once stood along an earlier street line.
